Health is not a choice – It is the way of living

I was born in the family of the doctors. Both of my parents, my sister, and her husband went a long way to get their medical degrees and I am … well, I am not one of them. Honestly, I have never been a big fan of blood and that kind of stuff. So these days I learn about health from literature, experience of others and, of course, my own. And this is the hardest part: I have to try everything out on myself. I claim it is the hardest because medicine has hundreds of researches to prove its point and I have to dig through the knowledge buried under the tons of information. What do I mean? Things like how to suppress inflammation in a body or how to heal irritated gums, or increase vitamins intake without actual pills.

I am not a certified nutritionist even though I have it on my bucket list. The techniques that I am going to share with you work for my family and me. I educate myself through  online classes and books and encourage you to be mindful and proactive in trying new things out. Do your homework and stay healthy. For my part, I promise to share with you the safest ways of becoming healthier and happier than ever before.

In order to give you a little insight of why I am interested in nutrition, healthy lifestyle and remedies, I have to say that it all started with my mom. Even though she believes in the power of medicine and science, she always looks for alternative ways to treat a body and a mind. She never starts taking pills if there is something that can be treated with the help of herbs and superfoods. She drinks dog-rose tea when she catches cold (because of its large amount of vitamin C) and makes homemade toothpaste to keep the gums and teeth healthy. I guess she is the reason I surround myself with nature and its powerful gifts.

I want to make this learning curve as much helpful to you too, guys. While I work on putting together all the information I spent years to gather, feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, questions, and favorite remedies.
